Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

The Velvet Knot is an online booking platform that connects customers with hotels, resorts, wedding venues, banquet halls, event organizers, and other hospitality service providers. Since each partner has its own cancellation and refund policy, refunds are governed primarily by the respective service provider's terms.

2. Cancellation by Customer

• Customers may request cancellation according to the cancellation policy of the booked hotel, resort, venue, or service provider.
• Cancellation requests made after the permitted cancellation period may not be eligible for any refund.
• Some promotional, discounted, or special offer bookings may be non-refundable.

3. Refund Eligibility

• Refunds are subject to the cancellation policy of the respective service provider.
• If eligible, refunds will be processed after confirmation from the hotel, venue, or event partner.
• Convenience fees, payment gateway charges, taxes, or other non-refundable charges may be deducted where applicable.

4. Cancellation by Service Provider

If a hotel, resort, venue, or event service provider cancels a confirmed booking due to unforeseen circumstances, customers may be offered one of the following:

• A full refund (where applicable).
• An alternative booking option.
• Rescheduling of the booking.

5. No Show Policy

If the customer fails to arrive at the booked property or event without prior cancellation ("No Show"), the booking may be treated as cancelled and may not be eligible for any refund, depending on the service provider's policy.

6. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved, it will generally be processed within 7 to 14 business days. The actual credit timeline depends on your bank, card issuer, UPI provider, or payment gateway.

7. Non-Refundable Situations

• Failure to check in on the scheduled date.
• Violation of hotel or venue policies.
• Bookings marked as non-refundable at the time of reservation.
• Special promotional or discounted bookings where refunds are specifically excluded.

8. Force Majeure

Refunds for cancellations due to natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, strikes, or other events beyond reasonable control shall be handled according to the policies of the respective service provider.

9. Changes to Booking

Requests to modify booking dates, guest details, or event schedules are subject to availability and the policies of the respective hotel or venue. Additional charges may apply.
